Economic Plan

On July 17, 2010, in America, by admin

Dear President Barack Obama,

With all due respect, this is not the time to place blame on anyone or get involve in party politics. This is the time to get your hands dirty and come up with novel and comprehensive economic plans. Millions of American families are hoping that you can turn around the economy. You need to take urgent and bold actions, not along party lines but those that will bring back the glory years of American enterprise. America needs to win back the competitive edge over China, India and Japan. The American worker needs to be more productive and innovative if it is to command higher salaries and standards of livings.

Some of the proposals include:

a. austerity measures to cut back on government spending

b. improve the productivity of American workers

c. implement some of the latest technologies in product innovations especially cars and public transportation

d. invest heavily in clean environment and green energy economics

e. improve the education system in Math and Science

f. introduce entrepreneurial programs at middle and high schools

g. reduce overheads for small businesses

h. control the property and stock market speculation and abuses.

In all these areas, my feel is that you need to come up with specific and detailed plans which can be measured for implementation on a quarterly basis.  The American people need to be briefed on a weekly basis on the success and failures of these implementation processes.

The American people are looking up to you to get this country back on track and out of this economic crisis. Please do all that is necessary to help the struggling American families.  I have confidence and faith in your presidency and look forward to meeting with you one day.

The Solar Power Fund

On July 3, 2010, in America, by admin

Dear President Barack Obama,

Generally, I am very happy with this new initiative because it will help to bring America another step forward in competing with other developed countries of the world. This program will also help undergraduates find jobs as I explained the difficult situation they are facing in my first letter to you.

This program will not only lessen our dependence on fossil fuels but also help in protecting our precious environment for the longer term.

I hope your plan includes education and experimentation at middle school level and above. I hope it will create innovations and entrepreneurial opportunities for future generations. I am very excited at the prospect of participating in this opportunity.

Thank you and Best Regards

Dear President John Atta Mills,

Having watch the Ghana-Uruguay match today, I really feel that Ghana deserved to win because they were trying their best to beat Uruguay. The team worked very hard in passing the ball to open team mates and they were genius’ at dribbling the ball around the Uruguay players. I find that they were the best and most hardworking team that I have ever seen.

Even though the African teams may no longer be in the tournament, through the Ghanaian players,  the African spirit will remain throughout the tournament. You can be proud of the team and welcome them back with open arms.

Best Wishes and Best Regards,

The Oil Spill and The American Image

On July 1, 2010, in America, by admin

Dear President Barack Obama,

Today is day 72 of the oil spill and it still hasn’t been resolved. The damage to the environment is disastrous and will have long term implications. The Louisiana Delta is getting more polluted day by day and The Florida Everglades have also been affected. No effort should be spared in restoring the wildlife and environment in th region.

More importantly, the incident does not appear good for the image of America. The world’s most technologically advanced and innovative nation appears to be helpless in resolving this oil pollution crisis.

I feel that the government should bring together our best scientists, engineers, and environmentalist to speedily take the lead in resolving the issue. BP could still be ultimately responsible to compensate the affected communities and for the cleanup operation.

It is critical that the U.S. Government resolve these issues on an urgent basis and demonstrate to world that it is still worthy of being the world’s greatest nation.

Dear President Goodluck Jonathan,

This year’s soccer World Cup competition was very competitive.  I can understand the feeling of not making into the round of 16. However, the ball is round and there will always be winners and losers. I’m sure the Nigerian team did their best and feel deeply hurt by failing their fellow country men. It will not be easy to forget and overcome their grief and sense of letting down their country.

I feel that your country’s soccer team should not have been suspended from international competition for 2 years. As the World Cup preparation was a team effort, everyone in Nigeria had a part to play. This includes senior government officials and fellow Nigerians. It is therefore unfair for the team to take sole responsibility for their failure.

Punishment in any form is counter productive and will not in any way serve the interest of the government, team or the country as a whole. Suspending them from playing will be bad for morale in preparation for the World Cup in 2014. Rather, we should carry out a thorough investigation to find out what were the real weaknesses of the system as a whole. This will allow you to will not only better prepare the country for the next World Cup but also win over the hearts and minds of the people and the team.

In closing, I feel that the team did good in their efforts to try and win and they should be congratulated for that as they did not give up. By forgiving them for their failure, you will not only be giving Nigeria a better chance to compete at the next World Cup and also bring your fellow countrymen together.

Best Regards

My First Letter to President Obama

On June 29, 2010, in America, by admin

Dear President Barack Obama,

This summer, thousands of college graduates are trying to get into the job market. Having read the news, I get the sense that they are facing numerous difficulties in finding a job.  It is important to keep the American dream of success through hard work alive.

We need to find new and novel ways of helping create a better and brighter future for future generations.  These challenging times requires drastic actions.

I feel that you should start several new bold initiatives that will help America regain its past glory.  This is a land of innovation and enterprise.  The government could help jump start programs  that will facilitate setting up startups  during the high school and undergraduate years.  Instead of spending billions on wars, we should provide seed money for startups.

America needs to regain its past glory of leading the world in of innovating in cars, spacecrafts, biotechnology, information technology, medicine, energy, and a clean and green environment.

The time has come to put into action what you have mentioned regularly.  America has become a better place since you became president but we have a long way to go for the future.

Best Regards,
